Born on the backroads of America after World War II, drag racing's roots were planted on dry lake beds in California's Mojave Desert, where hot rodders had congregated since the early 1930s and speeds first topped 100 mph. Now 79 Years later drag racing is still going strong and continues to grow every year. Over 135 tracks and more than 30,000 licensed competitors along with more than 5,000 track events. A grassroots drag racer has always been the back bones of the drag racing sport ever since the begining and it's still that way. It's the local track members and racers that keep this sport going and the support of your local track owners. We here at GRDR are big supporters of the so called little guy at the local tracks across America and beyond. The big names and owners started out at their local tracks themselves, so show your support at your local track by attending a race or take your ride and enjoy racing it.
